"Beautiful location friendly staff"
We are a family of 6 on our first trip to Hawaii. We staid there for 6 nights. Rooms were really nice and very clean. The resort has a great view of the ocean. The staff was quick and very friendly. The guys at the valet stand were very helpful with directions and places we might want to go.

"Best Hawaiian Hotel Choice!!!"
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our time at Koa Kea Resort as it is the perfect size boutique style hotel. Since we were enjoying a wedding anniversary celebration we were looking for a more adult style hotel with less children running around the pool. This was the perfect place!!!

"Great trip"
We live on Kauai but needed a COVID break so we booked a stay ay Koa Kea. Every part of our stay was great as the super friendly staff make sure everything was perfect. The Ocean Front Suite was large (two 75" TVs, large bathroom, etc.), clean, and included everything we needed. The Assistant Manager Philip was great as he quickly responded to any ask or issue. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our stay by two additional days. Hanging out by the pool while being able to see and hear the ocean was incredible

"Wonderful experience"
Treated like royalty from the moment of your arrival until your departure. You will be impressed. The food on-premises and at the poolside bar were phenomenal. Be sure you look for Erin at the bar. They will make sure to set up your very comfortable lounge chairs with quality towels in the location you desire. Located on a small pristine beach where you are likely to see monk seals resting in the sun. Best of all, on check-out day they store your luggage and give you a courtesy suite at the time of your choice so you can spend the day at the resort and still shower and feel great for your flight home.

"Honeymoon stay"
We had the most amazing honeymoon at Ko'a Kea!! The room was great with an incredible view of the ocean. We enjoyed daily breakfast on the balcony and seeing the whales breaching. The location was ideal for getting around to other popular spots as well as perfect for surfing, snorkeling or just relaxing on the beach. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was quiet and romantic. At sunset every night we had a beautiful view and the resort lights up with torches.Easy and convenient to rent water equipment like snorkels, surfboards, beach chairs or bikes right at the hotel. The restaurant was amazing. Beautiful lobby with welcoming staff at the valet and front desk. Spa services were incredible, Patty and Robin were great. A massage at the ocean front cabana is a must!Food from pool bar, in room dining and red salt was all incredible. Splurging for an ocean front room is definitely worth the money. That view is unmatched!Amazing trip with absolutely no complaints- we will be back!

"Charming experience"
Charming hotel for couples or those looking to get away from some of the nearby “busier” resorts. Quiet and peaceful with terrific views of the ocean especially at sunset. Excellent food, especially Red Salt, which we think is one of the best, if not the best, restaurants on the island. Walking distance to a few local restaurants and shops off property. Very friendly staff. Everything about this place just felt easy and relaxing.

"Most beautiful resort"
The most beautiful resort! The oceanfront room is worth the splurge, you can't get closer to the ocean! Rooms recently remodeled and very clean. All service was impeccable. Breakfast and dining options within walking distance. Ocean view immediately in front of the hotel and beaches directly on either side of the hotel. Poipu beach about a 5 min walk away. Any water gear can be rented directly from the hotel and great snorkeling in the bay right in front of the hotel! Drinks at the pool bar were great, Red Salt was good for a hotel restaurant. Definitely the nicest hotel option on the south side. Quiet, relaxed vibe. We brought one child and she had a great time in the pool! As the hotel is smaller there were plenty of chairs/umbrellas available at the pool and on the lawn.

"Lovely property for family Holidays"
The Ko'a Kea is a lovely property with friendly staff and beautiful grounds. We enjoyed our 3 nights/days in the pool and hot tub, playing games at the pool bar, snorkeling just up and down the beach, dining at Red Salt (wonderful, delicious, fresh sushi and fish), and were even treated to a sunset whale show where they were breaching and tail slapping just offshore but within clear view and an incredible sunset backdrop better than we could have even dreamed of. The vibe at the resort is very chill and great for relaxation and unwinding. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful with recommendations for anything we might want to do, see, or taste (both in Poipu and Kauai as a whole). We felt lucky to stay there and would happily do so again.

"Great Stay"
We had a great stay at Ko'a Kea over Thanksgiving, and we plan to stay here again next time we visit. The room was bright and we had a partial ocean view. They provide free valet, and Lei's and a bottle of wine were waiting for us when we entered our room. The service was great and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall the vibe is a relaxing, read a book/have a beverage at the pool kind of place, guests are mostly couples looking for some R&R. Pool and hot tub are smaller but perfect for the size of the hotel, pool loungers were limited, however, so get up early to lay claim! We did a couples beach side cabana massage, this is a must!

"Holiday"
The property was perfect in every way. It's a small boutique hotel with a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff was so nice and welcoming. The restaurant was amazing. The food was beautifully prepared with fresh ingredients and everything was so delicious! We enjoyed yoga every morning on the grass overlooking the ocean. The pool was great and it was fun hanging out at the outdoor bar. There are also nice restaurants, a small market, Starbucks and shops in the shopping center nearby which was within walking distance. And we loved having a Nespresso coffee machine in our room. A great way to start each day! Can't wait to go back!

"Paradise"
I LOVE this place. So much so I want to keep it my little secret. The intimate feeling at this resort is very special and hope it continues all of the great little things they do and keep it that way.

"Absolutely Outstanding"
My best friend and I recently stayed at Koa Kea and this resort absolutely exceeded all our expectations. Having never been to Kauai before, we were unsure about where to stay. A friend suggested this resort to my best friend so we decided to give it a go.Looking at the website, I have to admit I was a little skeptical but as soon as I drove up and walked through the lobby, I knew we had found a little slice of heaven. The resort is stunning and small enough that you really feel the personal service. All the staff went out of their way to help if ever you needed anything. The breakfast each morning was delicious and we also had the tasting menu for dinner one night which we both really enjoyed. The beds were probably one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The bathrooms were stunning and modern. They say love is in the details, and this resort is all about the details. From the fresh lei greeting and personally showing you to your room at check in, chocolates and water each night in your room - we were made to feel so incredibly special.Thank you Koa Kea. I will definitely be back!

"Boutique resort"
The Koa Kea is a beautifully situated Resort. It is smaller and more intimate than the huge super-resorts nearby. It is, indeed, a "boutique resort". From the moment you glide up the drive to the waiting, friendly valets, to the short steps into the reception area, you get the feeling that you are a special, appreciated guest. If you have stayed there before, there is a very good chance that the service staff will call you by name even before you reach check-in. On the Island of Kauai, we never stay anywhere BUT the Koa Kea, since we discovered it 7 years ago when we were married on the Island.
